Early-Player List & Maker Questions Consent
Effective October 4, 2026
This page explains how makers can reach you through WishSky and how to stop it. Makers never receive your email address. WishSky sends every message and relays every answer.
Early-player list
When you back a wish and say you would buy or play the game, you can choose to join its early-player list ("Put me on the early-player list"). It is your choice on each wish.
- Makers see only how many people are waiting, in approximate bands — never who you are.
- When a maker launches a game for that wish, WishSky can send you one launch notice. Each wish and game can send it only once, and you get at most one launch email a day.
- Links in launch notices go through WishSky so makers can see how many people opened the game, not who.
Questions from makers
Makers who claimed or follow a wish you backed can ask a short multiple-choice or rating question. Every question is checked by our moderators before it is sent, and it cannot contain links or contact details.
- You receive at most two questions a week, by notification and email.
- Answering is optional. Makers see results only once at least 20 people have answered, and never see who answered what.
Playtest invitations
Some makers can invite people who backed a wish to try their game. You can accept or decline; makers see only how many accepted.
Switching it off
- Turn off maker questions or other emails in My sky → Email preferences, or with the unsubscribe link in any such email. It takes effect immediately.
- Withdrawing your backing takes you off that wish's early-player list.
- Deleting your account takes you off every list.
